This wonderful photo was restored from an original that was barely visible. This shows Betsy Earle holding her niece, Mary Lou. If you browse to the prior photos, you will see a striking resemblance between Mary Lou and my mother as a small child. In the background is downtown Vivian. In one of my mother's letters, she mentions that she had a chance to work at the Southwestern Gas and Electric Co. which is the building to her left. My father often spoke of the deep love my mother felt for Mary Lou. They appear so happy and playful in this frozen moment.
