Thomas Veach (12/2/1797- 4/1/1879)
Thomas Veach and his wife Ankah came to Indiana in 1827. They traveled by flatboat on the Monongahela and Ohio Rivers to Cincinnati where they went north by wagon, settling in New Castle. They traveled with three little boys and a three-month old daughter. After their arrival, they lived in their wagon until they could fell trees to build a log home.
