There was much discussion about the difference in appearance between the twin sisters, Mildred and Muriel Hatley. This photo was taken when the pair were competing in a contest to identify the twins that were most dissimilar. I don't know how they fared in the competition but it is obvious that they were markedly different. I believe they about 17 years of age.
